Letting people know about your wedding registry
It can be difficult knowing the best way to let people
know that you have a wedding registry. You shouldn't include your wedding
registry address on the invitation itself. It's just a little bit too
presumptuous for most people even if they are definitely going to give you a
gift. But there's nothing to stop you from including a separate card with the
wedding registry details.
Or, if you still feel uncomfortable you could let people know with a poem like
this one from Magical Makeovers:
Thank you for accepting our invitation to attend
Our wedding celebrations in just a few weekends.
We can't wait to share our wedding day with you,
And we hope you are looking forward to it too!
Should you wish to buy us the perfect gift -
The right coloured towels and some sheets that fit,
It can be a difficult task choosing something just right,
And shopping for a gift from morning till night.
So we have given you some help with a Registry list,
Or you may choose something that we have missed.
Either way we are happy with whatever you choose,
With your presence at our wedding -
we will never lose.
Rhonda, Magical
Makeovers
And, finally, noone will mind if you don't include the bridal registry details
with your invitation. Instead, you can just make sure that your parents and
bridesmaids and groomsmen know where your bridal registry can be found. These
people will be the most likely contacts when your guests are looking for gift
ideas.
